I stand with Niko petition

Niko Tiliopoulos has worked in the School of Psychology at the University of Sydney for 16 years.

Niko has severe respiratory and autoimmune conditions. His immune system is also compromised by immunosuppressive medication.

If Niko catches COVID, he faces a truly extreme risk. Niko and his doctors asked the University to let him teach remotely, just like he has since the start of the COVID pandemic.

The University temporarily reallocated some of his teaching but has since refused to let Niko teach remotely.

Now, the University is attempting to terminate Niko’s employment on the grounds of ill health.

Without your help, Niko might be fired before the end of October. Please sign our petition and stand with Niko and all USyd staff with disability.

    PETITION:

We call on Vice-Chancellor Mark Scott AO to:

    • Uphold the Disability Inclusion Access Plan.
    • Intervene to protect Dr Niko Tiliopoulos’s employment at the University of Sydney.
    • Meet with the Disability at Work Network and NTEU reps about remote work policies for staff with disability.
