But the fallout from COVID has really shone a media light on the risks of insecure work to our public unis, and the equation is finally starting to change.
The Senate Select Committee on Job Security recommended that public funding be linked to secure jobs, Victoria is trialling new entitlements for casual workers and insecure work will be an issue in the federal election.
